Mississippi Public Broadcasting (MPB) is Mississippi's premiere public broadcasting station, providing quality programs and services that educate, inform, and inspire. MPB television covers the entire state of Mississippi, reaching more than 2.2 million households with national programming from PBS, including PBS KIDS, Masterpiece, Nature, Create TV, and NOVA, as well as documentaries, news programming, and local productions. MPB signed on the air with its first broadcast on February 1, 1970, and has maintained its educational focus while expanding its programming to entertain and enrich viewers' lives.
