About Universidade FM

Universidade FM (UFM), formerly Rádio Universidade Marão, began broadcasting on May 5, 1986, from Vila Real. The station obtained a license for the Vila Real municipality on December 1, 1989, and moved its studios to Quinta do Espadanal. Since 2004, UFM's studios have been located in the University Residences of UTAD, near Parque do Corgo and the Municipal Theater of Vila Real. The station encourages listeners to connect with radio for real stories, music, debates, news, and a connection to their community, as part of a campaign by the Associação Portuguesa de Rádiodifusão.
