Radio North Sea International (RNI) was a European offshore pirate radio station that operated in the early 1970s. It broadcast from international waters, initially off the Dutch coast and later off the English coast, using medium wave, FM, and shortwave transmitters. RNI featured programming in both English and German, and at one point changed its name to Radio Caroline International to support a political party. The station faced challenges including government jamming and interference, but maintained a dedicated audience and made a modest financial profit. In July 2008, the RNI name was revived for an online station featuring music from the 1960s through the 1980s, with live shows on weekends.
